Hi everyone! I was wondering how many active users Renshuu currently has. I mean, its community looks close-knit and dedicated, but I haven't yet seen anyone with lvl 2000+, even though the app is quite old. Do more advanced learners leave it once they reach their goal? And I assume most beginners quit after a few months...
While renshuu itself (not the app, but the website) is close to 20 years old, the level system was added "only" 5-6 years ago, I believe. You can, if you push it, get 2 levels a day (but 1 is much more realistic), so it takes VERY serious people to reach 2000 in anything less than those 4-5 years.
Maybe its also worth mentioning that some people will have already achieved a high level of japanese where they dont really need to rely on SRS anymore and simply quit using renshuu.
