I’ve completed all the N5 scheduled material, and I also manually added and finished the N4 kanji. Right now I’m mainly reviewing everything.
I’m not sure how to continue with N4 content:
Should I start adding N4 schedules manually now?
Or is it better to wait until the system begins suggesting N4 material automatically?
I’d prefer to rely on the system’s pacing if it’s designed to introduce new material at the right time, but I’m not sure if waiting is the intended approach.
What’s the recommended way to proceed in this situation?
The system always gave me the new material when the old one was over. If it didn't happened maybe it is a bug. However, don't wait. Just add and study freely. Renshuu is highly customizable (does this word exist?) and adaptable to your needs. Ganbatte!
I could be wrong, but so far as I know there is no system pacing. People have vastly different capacities for digesting new material depending on their background, skills, and resources, so it would be hard to set a pace that works for everyone.
What renshuu does have is an automatic suggestion to start a new lesson when you’re done with the previous one. But that only applies within a set of lessons. N5 and N4 are different sets, and it’s up to you to decide which one(s) you want to work on.
