i watched intro videos but it only shows so far how to do kanji word schedules. I am not advanced enough for kanji yet and am practicing hiragana. But as i am learning all of the characters I would like to drill words, by seeing the hiragana, and having to select the phonetics, and if i am correct it will show me the meaning of the complete word.
in the fundamentals i see lessons where you can have renshuu read you words, but it doesnt read full sentences, and it doesnt confirm the phonetics (ex. Ji-sho i-nu)
is there a way to do something like this? Thank you
You definitely should be studying words to reinforce the kana. You can add a vocabulary schedule using the schedule manager. Since you haven’t learned any kanji yet, hiragana will be used instead. When you learn kanji characters, renshuu will automatically begin to use them in your quizzes.
The question type you describe doesn’t exist, and you will soon move beyond that stage anyway. Shiritori, crossword puzzles and Quick Draw are all fun ways to reinforce the kana you’re learning.
I recommend you download and print a cheatsheet from the main menu under Resources. Sorry, it’s under Tools.
There are many sentences with audio, and more will be added in the future, although there will still always probably be more without.
