I think the Text Analyzer tool is great. It allows me to take song lyrics that I have found online (which I would never be able to reproduce myself), dump it, and then create a List and a Schedule to practice new words from. Above that, I am able to listen to the song at my learning level, so it will provide furigana to ease the experience. Everything is linked in the dictionary, so I can quickly see what the words I don't know mean.
So to me, there are 2 major functions:
1. Learn the words - I make the List and Schedule, and then study it at my own pace
2. Learn the song - I read the lyrics as I listen to the song to match the sounds to actual words
I have made my lists public, so that anyone can learn the words to the songs, but I feel like someone would be missing out on the meaning of the song, should they only learn the words brick by brick, and not see the whole house. Sure they could go to a random website (which sometimes has incorrect lyrics), but they would still be missing out on a major part of the Text Analyzer which would show words at their learning level. Listening to a song while reading strings of kanji you don't know how to say feels kinda bad.
I see that Text Analyzer pages are created with a link that is a growing five digit number, so I tried gaming the system by changing the number to a random one, but I guess that isn't allowed either. What I am wonder is.....is it possible to make Text Analysis pages public and private, like Lists are, so that people can share them? I figure anything that has copyright issues (like a book) can be marked private by the user, while other things could be freely shared. If it is a free/pro issue, I doubt people would abuse the difference by having a friend with pro upload something instead of them using the analyzer multiple times.
I think it could be cool to see what others are reading, or not have to reproduce the editing effort that someone else has already done in a Text Analysis that they have already created.
