Well, it isn’t just you. I am also not being able to write Japanese on my device that i am using. But this might come in handy. Maybe go to settings go to general, and then press on keyboard. There should be a language keyboard section. With that in blue it says to create a new keyboard. If you. Tap on that, you will be able to find languages. Press on Japanese, and then you can get a Japanese keyboard. Except since you are using a mobile, i am not too sure if it will actually work. But good luck!🤞

If you are using Samsung keyboard like me, in the settings you can find Japanese keyboard, but use the quwerty style dont use flick. Hope this helps!
