Hi everyone!

I am currently learning Japanese by using Renshuu along with some YouTube. However, I have ordered Genki and am waiting for the books to arrive. My question is, how do I utilize Renshuu and Genki? I intend on using these two as my main materials for now.

Any help is much appreciated! Thank you!

Genki is a great resource for grammar, short texts and writing exercises. Since it is a very „famous“ book, there are vocabulary and kanji lists made by renshuu that fit with your (probably?) 3rd edition of genki.

This way you can use renshuu for practice. To be honest, I would discourage you from using sentence and grammar schedules in renshuu based on JLPT alongside the usage of Genki. Genki has a fantastic approach and it‘s usually easier to focus on one approach. Genki will take you far into a level where you know enough so you understand what works best for you.

Enjoy! 😊 The book is a great start!
