In kanji learning section do I need to learn the on youmi and konyoumi reading both ? or I can stick to one of them as a beginner, that feels like a little easier to learn one of them, but the app doesn't support this Ami I correct?
No, you’re wrong on nearly every count. Renshuu provides extensive support for learning only certain readings, and you are encouraged to learn only one reading at a time.
As to what you should or need to learn, there’s a pinned post that discusses it at length, but in the end it’s up to you, depending on your goals and motivation.
for example take a look at this picture , the kanji in the middle is Kuni in kunyomi and koku in onyomi and the quiz asks for both how should I stick to one reading or another, I know the app supports both as extensive library but I am talking about how should I study, I read the thread by the way and didn't find the answer I'm looking for
Renshuu should show you only the readings it wants you to learn when you first learn a kanji. I think it's based on the vocab you know at the time or something. But yes, you should learn whatever Renshuu quizzes you on.
Hi! In the settings of your kanji schedule there are “study vectors”. If for some reason you want to study one type of readings and not the other, you can turn those vectors on and off. Personally, I find both to be useful, but you do you🫡
