Why are essential words like hello, goodbye, please, and thank you left out of the words for Japanese basics schedule?kao_question.png

My understanding is that "Words for Japanese Basics" is a companion vocab schedule for the "Japanese Basics" grammar schedule. So it's not "basics" in the sense you're probably thinking of. Pretty sure It just has the words you'd need for the grammar schedule. kao_think.png

Well I looked it up and all those words seem to be in the Words for Beginner Japanese (N5) schedule

I'd also recommend the "The Basic 300" Sentences schedule. You can find it under "Resources" → "Community Lists" → look up "The Basic 300" → Schedule all.

Should cover a lot of essential phrases :)
