Though it might be nice to have an introductions thread.
Im not exactly going to spout all my personal details on a public forum but I thought this would be simply a good way for people to break the ice and make their first post by just saying hey. so hey :)
Ive been kanjii renshuuing for a while now, big props to Mike for creating this site and look forward to seeing the future developments; quite exciting...
Tip for all: you can change the display name used for the forums by going to Edit Profile. That way, you can have a japanese name displayed in the forums, even though you still log in with your usual username.
Holy Moly I just checked the site and it's REALLY COOL. Last year it was great but now it's more user-friendly. Was jlpyrenshuu.org recently created? i had no idea it existed... this should move... anyways this is really cool!!!
Oh yeah Mr.マイケル Hominick- im that one guy that sent you a few scans of the Lesson 12 Kanji when they were wrong and you didn;t have ur book w/ you in Japan if you remember. ckerhin@gmail.com. I think ur site is AWESOME!
careful posting your email on public boards... youl end up with spam out the wazoo.. and while its not nice having spam anywhere, its reeeealy bad when its out your wazoo!

Yea, I remember ya. Glad you like the site. jlpt.renshuu.org (and preceding that, jlptrenshuu.org) has been around for at least half a year. If you like the site now, take a look at the development forum and see what's in store for the future - I'm always looking for suggestions/comments on some of the new designs.
well, i've been using this site for a few months and i really like it! it's the best site i've found for learning vocabulary out there. and i can easily use it on my Wii as well. (I am right now 8)) Anyway, my name's Noah. It's nice to talk to fellow students of Japanese.
Glad it's working for you - it'll only get better from here on out. *laughs* I haven't tried it on the wii yet - although to be honest, some of the stuff I have planned for the future of the site would work *great* on the wii.
not sure if that's right. this is my first week of J2 class started Feb 12th so i'm super busy now, trying to catch up with the class after a long hectic winter break ( i over did it :0) by the way Great site!
はじめまひて 皆さん! I'm Victor from Los Angeles. I've been free studying for about 2 or so months now, and really feel I've made good progress. When you consider that I only learned the hiragana kana 9 weeks ago! I've got to say that the best feature of your site is the test format choices! I have a talent for multiple choice quizzes, so I do artificially well in that format. You've given me the choice to write in the hiragana for a given definition has proved to me how little I really know! So far I need more help in sentenance structure and verb usage. I was thinking that perhaps you could offer sentences with an element missing with a choice list to select the right verb form. Whatta think?
Right now, to me, Kanji is like a giant wall in front of me which I have no clue where to start climbing or how high the top may be. I think you've given me a foot up in the right direction.
These are the sites I've been using -
Charles Kelly's Online Japanese Language Study Materials http://www.manythings.org/japanese/
Real Kana - Practice Hiragana and Katakana http://www.realkana.com/
Kanji by Topic 漢字 ___ http://infohost.nmt.edu/~armiller/japanese/kanjiord.htm
Here's a link to my photo pages - I could bore you with a long introduction on who I am, what I'm into - but if your interested, go here - http://public.fotki.com/DatsunVic/
Thanks for posting! Glad you like the site. The new version of the site (that I'm working furiously on) will have more quiz types, sentence-based quizzing (slowly being rolled out), and a HUGE number of quiz types for kanji practicing.
Umm Hello I’m Kuroneko and I’m new here. I thought this site was kind of interesting so I though I would Join, also so far it is very helpful for my Japanese Study. I kind of wish I bumped in to this site a bit earlier.
Thanks for joining the site! I hope you look forward to all the awesome, new functionality I am adding to the site! Do let me know if you have any ideas, questions, or problems!
