Hello everyone, sorry if this topic has already been posted, but I couldn't find a good answer to this. When I'm studying vocabulary, the words are sometimes written with hiragana instead of kanji, even for those I already know. I've marked them as known and added them to my studypad, but I still get hiragana instead. Such as "tango" being written as "たん", even though I know both of them and have them marked as known. How do I fix this problem?

Easy fix :). I really need to find a better place to put this information because a lot of users don't find it (which is 100% my problem, not the users). Go to your settings page (Tools icon at the top), choose Kanji Study History. Use that page (fairly simple) to tell the site what kanji you know, and everything will be rewritten at your level!

Ah, it's that easy? I really should've looked closer. :) Thanks! But what if it's missing kanji that isn't in a textbook, as far as I know? Then how do I make it find it? I picked the grey kanji with furigana reading now, so it won't be much of a problem if it happens.

In addition to the textbooks, the site will also pick up kanji characters in kanji character quizzes that you study (not vocabulary). Some vocabulary quizzes have 'recommended' kanji added to them. If, after all that, there are still a few stragglers, you can look them up in the dictionary (usually the easiest way is to click on a kanji in a term (except inside of a quiz question), then on the dictionary page that pops up, hit 'I know this'.

Ah, alright, I've already been doing that with them (although I've been doing in in the quiz, maybe that's part of the problem). Thanks again for the help. :)

Doing it inside of the quiz is quite fine - the 'dont do it in the quiz' that I was referring to is that if you click on the kanji in an actual question nothing will come up (to keep it from being too easy to look up the answer), and not that the checkbox won't work.
