皆さん、こんにちは (...well,is night in here but...wathever ;D)
I created this topic because I was wondering if someone of you have a passion/hobby (or work) art related,& I was curious to see your works & willing to share mines :)
Any kind of art is accepted, could be a draw,a painting,a sculpture, some origami,Lego creations, knitting (is this the right word?),really anything, the important is that you consider it as your art ;D
So I'll start with mine,it's digital art, some 3D works I made in the past years with the specific software on the computer, they could simply stay as images as you see them in this topic or could go into a videogame or into a 3dprinter to became little sculptures.
So,hope you likes them,& don't be shy,show your works ;)

I am a beginner in calligraphy/shodou 書道. I learn from video's on youtube. I vaguely knew about the tradition to write 4 kanji idioms, but I didn't research much about it when I made this. So, I arranged the four seasons just visually, starting with winter. But the traditional way is to start with spring: shunkashuutou/春夏秋冬. Next time better research on 4 character idioms. ^_~

is possible to write kanji so beautiful just with a pencil?? cause it's all I got here ;D
But I think not, cause it doesn't have the control over the stroke thickness that you get from a brush :(
Uhm, yes, the brush is essential. The way to start and stop a brush stroke, etc. I live in Belgium. I looked online to buy brushes in Japan, but that particular shop didn't send abroad. I looked around in China town here, but I didn't find good quality. Finally I bought my brushes and such from a specialised arts shop(Schleiper). They sell Japanese brushes(筆), paper weights(文鎮)and ink stones(硯)and more.
Two youtube channels from people I learn from:

But youtube is loaded with it anyway, once you search for 書道 or 習字。
For writing with a pencil or a ballpen there are also rules to improve your style. There are video's from NHK on youtube:
