Too small? I have my computer plugged into a 42" TV, so it is hard to tell how you would see it on a monitor.

As for the kanji crossword, it is indeed quite simple especially with the kana questions. I guess I don't even know half of the words, yet I can easily solve this puzzle. A kanji crossword with English questions might be more challenging, since you actually have to know the vocab^^
And I just noticed, that marking "Hide clues with correct answers" will also hide clues with wrong answers. Only in the kanji crossword though.
Sorry for nitpicking, but when written vertically the katakana ー should also become vertical right? Not that it matters much, just saying...
And I second Karlla's suggestion of having English clues for the kanji crossword, kana-->kanji is solved by my IME.
Well, these are just test examples - the user will ultimately be able to choose the clue type.
I agree about the slash, but...I am not sure if I can do that within the webpage...let me look it up.
Wow nice improvements in such a short time! I like how you can click the clue on the side and it pops right to typing in the answer. However, for the kana puzzle, I kinda miss being about to click on the puzzle itself and how a clue with both across and down would change automatically. Now it seems like the down clues get priority, even if I click on an across only clue (like across 17 or 19), the down clue is highlighted.

Lot of nice ideas in this :)
Hmm, on technical side, when you input an "across" answer then clear an overlapping "down" answer, it also clears the input from the across answer that you need to re-input afterward. (maybe solvable by adding an hidden data on each overlapping cells to remember if it has across/down data in it, or something else)
I'm just trying a kana crossword. Strangely the down clues do not disappear, even though the answers are correct.
As for the across clues, I just noticed that some are hidden, while others remain visible.
And I remember that in case of wrong answers the clues were also marked in red. But that also doesn't seem to work for all the clues.
I tried the meaning to kana puzzle for N3 from September 2012. For no. 32 across I had a typo which is marked red in the grid but the clue itself is not. Even if I type something completely wrong, the clue won't be marked.
For the down clues, they are not marked at all. They do not even appear green upon correct answer.
And I have a question about the meaning to kanji puzzle from November 2012 for N4.
From the grid the answer for no.9 seems to be 2 or 3 kanji long. But when I enter the answer for no.8 and hit "check" no.9 appears solved correctly as a single kanji word. Why is there an empty space between 9 and 10?
The hiding issue seems to be fixed. Great^^
I'm not sure If I understand what your question is refering to :-\
For the kana puzzle: I typed ちょうたい instead of ちょうだい.
For the kanji puzzle: no.8 was 風邪 which automatically answered no.9 as 邪.
Hmm..I just tried case one, with ちょうたい. All characters but the one were marked green - that one was marked red.
In the clue list, 32 was marked incorrect/red, everything else was left green. Did you get a different result?
Second case - I was able to repeat it. It should be fixed now. There isn't an 'empty' space between 9 and 10 - it just is that there isn't a clue that starts on that square. Specifically, clue 9 ends on that square, and clue 10 starts on the next square.
