Most of the books I´ve found are really repetitive and dull. I wonder if there is a book that is not only a list of vocabulary or grammar rules. Maybe some drawings or graphics would be nice, because even if is only a little detail or image, it makes me want to continue studying. I have only found two books that are more attractive for me: Nihongo Sou Matome (All the series are dynamic) JLPT Taisaku Mondai & Yoten Seiri N3 But if someone else knows about another good one, I´ll appreciate it

Hi 3nzo, Do you mean course books or books to prepare for JLPT? I like Dekiru but that is in Hungarian. For the rest, course books tend to be repetitive simply because that is the way most people can learn effectively. If you do not want to get bored try to read a book from eg. Japanese Readers Collection. The vocabulary list provided are really good and there are some grammar explanations as well. Or you can simply look up stuff you do not understand. For JLPT, Nihongo Sou-Matome and Kanzen Master series are both popular and on the website of Bonjinsha you can find many more practice books (in case you love tests :)). Good luck! Rozsomák

げんき is a classic one, and is, in my opinion, the best thing out there to get you started. There are a bit of graphics that go along with exercises and a storyline. There are a lot of sources out there that seem very visual, like Japanese from Zero!, but I doubt they offer the kind of package that げんき does.

Thank you so much to everyone. I´m going to look through the material you mentioned. Another simple method I´m using is surfing on the net around japanese pages. I only write something that pops up in my mind and click on search. I´ve gave a glance on pages like Mc Donalds Japan, Yahoo Japan, Okwave, and another about anime, games and food. All in all, thank you for the suggestions! :D
