Hello everyone! Im pretty new to this site and really like it so far but Im having some trouble finding out some info. On the quiz settings it has some special things (furigana split, etc etc) that is only available to 'renshuu pro' members.

Sorry - the reason there isn't more info is that it's not quite done yet :). Renshuu pro will be a subscription-based set of tools for the site on-top of the huge amount of free services currently offered.
Beta-testing for renshuu pro will begin in the next week, so keep an eye on the site's news page for information on that.
To be honest -- when I first heard about renshuu pro, I thought it sounded a little lame. But, after checking out the beta and seeing what's there (and almost there) -- I've been swayed over to thinking that it might be a cool service.
Granted, free is always best -- but, the reality is, that model can be hard to maintain.
I've wondered whether or not you put any thought into the pricing model yet? What would you expect the 'pro' services to cost on a per-month basis?
The name needs some work, and since up until now I haven't really had much in the way of a set of tools to actually show, I can understand why one might not be so pumped. I've still got a lot more to come to really make it into an awesome set of features.
I've put some thinking into it - I'm leaning towards a subscription service. I think that ties into what's being offered, and it also will reflect the fact that the pro materials will continue to grow. As the site matures, the growth should shift away from features and more towards content - I have reading comprehension (focus on vocab) as well as grammar quizzing I want to have in the package, but that requires a lot of generated material (mostly in the form of choosing incorrect answers to go along with correct ones; it's easy to do that when you're just doing vocab/kanji, but almost impossible to do automatically when you have to deal with contextual issues. Also got audio quizzes coming too, plus a few more features (huge ones) not tied directly to the quizzes.
I don't have a price-point in place yet. I want to see how much I can get done by February (when I return to Japan) - renshuu pro will not be live until after I get back and settle down so I can focus on providing the service required by me as administrator. I don't plan to wait until I get *everything* done - some features will be scheduled for future release, hopefully in 2010. Closer to February, though, I can look at the completed feature set, the general reception of the tools by beta users, and go from there.
Once I have official specifics, I'll share more, but right now, I'm focusing 99% on the pro beta testing and implementation of a few more larger features.
