1) I noticed that some of the puzzles appear twice. In fact there are always 2 puzzles with the same name. However hiragana puzzles seem to be different, whereas kanji puzzles are identical. ???
2) Whenever I resume any hiragana puzzle it shows kanji clues although it is still set to English clues. (does NOT happen with N4 - Dec and Nov 2012, though)
1. Could you check in beta (accessed through the Help menu) and see if the problem persists? If so, please give a couple of examples of names that are repeated.
2. This has been fixed in beta (just now). Once you get into beta, please give it a shot (you might need to do the crossword once more for the new value to stick).
1.) What I mean is that I have 2 puzzles called "March 2014" etc. When I open the puzzles I get 2 different layouts but the titles are the same.
2.) Looks like the problem has not been completely solved.
3) It seems that now Kanji clues have been preset for puzzles in general. I'd prefer to see the English clues when opening a puzzle. Is there a possibility to change that? (edit: It turned out that it's not a general matter. It concerns puzzles N5 - Mar 2014, N4 - Oct/Nov 2014, N3 - Oct 2014 as far as I can tell o.O)

3. Are these puzzles ones you have done before, or are opening for the first time? It should default to definition, but if you've done the crossword before, it'll save (barring the issue in #2) the last clue type you used.
Strangely, though, in the list (where I choose a puzzle) it shows #1, #2 etc. But when I open any #2 puzzle, it is shown as #23 (only for kana puzzles, kanji puzzles are fine)
2.) I cannot recreate the issue shown in the screen above. I tried and this is what happend: - I went to the "Games" tab and hit "crossword"
- I chose N4 and opened puzzle Dec. 2013 #2 (for the 1st time) - It showed English clues.
- After solving some of the questions I closed the puzzle hitting the N5 tab.
- I went back to N4 and reopened the puzzle
- It showed kanji clues (I never(!) changed that setting)
3.) It is possible that I opened those puzzles before without actually working on them. But I practically never change the setting. As shown in #2) you can assume, that every time I re-open a puzzle the setting is automatically changed to kanji.
After changing it back to English, however, it remains in English mode.
Sorry - a bit of clarification: the steps in #2, this appears that you could recreate it, so are these the steps you took originally, but when you did it this time, it did not replicate?
Originally I would leave an unfinished puzzle and go to shiritori or any other place on renshuu and would re-open the puzzle a couple of days later. However, I could recreate the issue by following the steps above. This time it did not recreate the original issue.
Instead, when I open a puzzle for the 2nd time it has kanji clues set although I left the puzzle set on English when I closed it. After hitting the "show English clues" button, closing the puzzle and open it for a 3rd time it remains set to English clues.
Alright, thanks for the clarification. It sounds like it is working now. If you'd like, I can do a one-time swipe and push all your saved puzzles' clues to English.
