Not completely sure if this is a problem on Renshuu's end since I'm still getting the browser and OS set up, but I can't get any sound to play for listening questions or in the dictionary. Using Iceweasel 31.7 on Debian 8.1.
Sorry for the delay in getting around to this; can you confirm whether or not it is working with other browsers on the same system? What about if you try a private/incognito tab that doesn't have any additional extensions/plugins added?
Doesn't work in Arora, or Iceweasel incognito or with addons disabled. I checked the browser console in Iceweasel and clicking on the speaker icon for a word on the dictionary tab results in an error like this: Media resource https://www.renshuu.org/audio=37-4eda1dd07777f8696... could not be decoded. I'm wondering if I may be missing a necessary codec.
Might be a codec issue - that url does look correct, and loads up properly for me. Let me look a bit more into it.
For now, do me a favor and go to this page: http://www.schillmania.com/projects/soundmanager2/
Under the left column, there is a small section titled "This browser's <HTML5> vs. Flash support:" - let me know what appears under that for you.
The site shows the same as the image: mp3, mp4, ogg, opus, wav (all green), says HTML5-only mode.
Huh...interesting. I'll think on it, but I'm a bit confused as to what could be causing it.
Got it to work! Did some searching and ended up downloading packages suggested on the following sites:

After adding the additional GStreamer packages I can hear the sound files fine.
