SHORT QUESTION:

I would like a way to reset all my kanji mastery levels to 0,how can I do that? :)

LONG QUESTION:

I realized is probably "forever" since the last time I quizzed on a Kanji schedule, the problem being it never felt useful to me. The reason being I always learned vocabs just trough visual memory (never wrote a kanji) so I always have this fuzzy/blurred image of a vocab and when I see it I recognize it most by "feeling" and the overall shape of the whole compound, rather to dissect it to the kanji & strokes, and while quizzing on a kanji schedule I used to do just the same, like a quick glance and I get to recognize a kanji just because "it felt like that kanji I know" and because "this is jlpt5 schedule,so it must be that kanji",but never had the feeling of totally knowing a kanji and the ability to recall it from my mind,so if I where to see a word I quiz everyday just with a different font,I probably wouldn't recognize it.

The obvious solution of this is of course to dissect kanjis by writing, setting my kanji schedule to give me only the definition so I can write the kanji down and then show the answer, and if it doesn't matches I can hit the "I don't know" button.

Problem with this is,since I used to study kanji the wrong way, just by looking at it and never by writing, if I get right (with my new method of writing ) a kanji with high mastery level I don't see that kanji again for months...and this doesn't help at all my writing practice.

So I would like a way to reset all my kanji mastery levels to 0,how can I do that? :)

You mean, mark them as unstudied? There is not a way to do this to all terms, just one page at a time from the View Terms page. I do hope to add this to the next version of the site, but it is not yet available.

I see :)

Or,maybe you can create a separate "Write practice quiz" where kanji doesn't necessarily follow the current mastery system but are shown based on something else,so one doesn't have to reset them nor reset achievments :D

Either way is fine with me,I'll wait gor the future to start my writing quizzing journey :)

Btw マイコーさん did you know this? https://www.teachmekanji.com/

It basically allows you to do writing practice using a tablet pen,is free and registration takes 30 seconds, you should totally try it (even if only with the mouse and only for 2 minutes) because I think it could give you some awesome idea that maybe could be implemented to benefit this site :D

Not to mention that I wrote a mail to the creator some days ago since his last blog post was 2013 and asked him if that project was abandoned unfinished, apparently it kind is...so maybe...don't know, maybe you guys can work something out to let him implement that thing into this site? :D no idea, just throwing the info out :)
