Hello, I've been trying to reduce the amount of light exposure my eyes get at night, but I don't want that to keep me from reviewing. I was wondering if it was possible to implement a dark mode toggle to the settings menu, something with dark steel grey backgrounds (would look good with the current blue I think) and light grey text.
I worked around it by installing a different browser on my phone which can force a dark theme, but it looks awful and some colors aren't visible, so if you could add an official one I would be very pleased!
I'm finally getting back into working on the site after being away for almost a month, and this has definitely been suggested before. The css (which is what handles the site's style and colors) is a bit of a mess, so I need to mess around with it a bit to see how much of a change it'll be.
Well, I've already started a scratch css (style) file that has a bunch of dark alternates. Just going to work on it when I'm tired with the rest of the site, and see where I am in a week or so.
I have been working on it some, will have something to show you guys soon in a super alpha state. Going to put in a lot of work during this winter break!
I'm really sorry - I've gotten all wrapped up in these other features (which are really fun to work on) - and I can't lie - the dark mode is not going to be easy because of my lack of attention to the styling of the site over the years. I will try and get to it soon!
