I often find myself entering the wrong reading during kanji quizzes due to misreading the onyomi/kunyomi prompt. It would be nice to have a color-coded prompt like the following:

I have arbitrarily adopted the WaniKani color scheme of pink for onyomi and purple for kunyomi. The styling I used for the examples is pretty basic:
.readingHighlight {
    font-weight: bold;
    padding: 0.15em;
    border-radius: 0.2em;
  }
  .onyomi {background-color: pink}
  .kunyomi {background-color: mediumpurple}

I agree with the problem, but not with the implementation :). I just put something in that I think will be even easier! Let me know what you think. (make sure you're in beta to see the updates).

This is good. I sill catch myself misreading the prompt, but to be fair I misread the prompt on WaniKani occasionally, too, even with the color-coding.

Is it possible to have the auto-romaji-to-kana-conversion use katakana for onyomi questions rather than hiragana? That would probably be the most localized contextual clue.

Worked as expected for all of my kanji quizzes. One thing I did notice is that the textbox placeholder text is redundant now:

It's only redundant when you move the cursor out of the box. Since it should start with the cursor already in the input field, I don't think it's too much of a bother, but I went ahead and removed it.

I suppose I should point out that I noticed this because the input textbox isn't auto-focused for me on mobile. I use Firefox on Android, but tested with Chrome and it doesn't auto-focus there either. Firefox on MacOS and Linux works.

Actually, I had that disabled up until now because I mistakenly assumed that mobile users would not do the fill-in-the-blank stuff. Just turned it on!

There's a bug with the onyomi input. One 'n' shows up as a capital N, and the second shows up like in the screenshot instead of converting to ン.

Oh, and can you enable auto-focus for vocabulary quizzes too?

Let's leave this open for a few more days, see if anything else comes up! I want it to be perfect :)
