does this sentence fall into #2 of ぎる ? Suffix  could be treated as い adj?

のおじいちゃんはぎています。

My grandfather is over 80 years old

It's none of the ones on there, actually. This is just the usage of the verb meaning "past" or "exceed".
So here, while it sounds more natural to say "over 80 years", to help you link it to the verb, it's more like "he has exceeded 80 years", as if 80 was written on a line, and he has walked past that marker in terms of age.

ぎる then could be considered as Past A, exceedingly A, overly A? Thanks for the comments, i know this is not on books.
