I saw a post by mikepinkerton about Genki supplementary vocab missing from various online databases. I had the same problem, couldn't find anything out there. So, I created one myself.
I took the Genki-1 glossary, went through it word by word, and where a vocabulary word was listed as "(s)" or supplementary, AND was not listed in another (later) chapter as regular vocab, I added it to my excel spreadsheet.
This was all in an attempt to fill in a big hole in my Anki (flashcard software) deck that I was using. So, if anyone finds it valuable, here is the excel file I created:
How easy would it be for you to import the supplemental lists into new public lists here on renshuu.org? That way anyone could subscribe to them and include them into their mastery schedules. I don't know if there are good import options for lists here.
I must admit I used to use Anki, but gave up as soon as I discovered this site.
Would it also be possible to put up a utf8 list of just the supplemental? I don't have excel on this mac (only Numbers) and it doesn't seem to understand xlsx folders.
Mike, thanks! Glad it is of value to at least one person.
I am not familiar at all with what you refer to as to uploading to this site. If you know how, please feel free to do whatever you want with this list. I did take your good point about not having it in utf8 so created that file here (with a link on my little page):
@eaazu: would it be possible for you to sort the utf8 list by lesson? I can write a perl script to do it, but it's probably much faster/easier to sort in Excel and re-export the list.
If you can't get to it, I'll manage, it would just help a little more. -Mike
