I'm not sure if this has been requested before or not, but would it be possible to get more selectable radicals for writing mnemonics? I write a lot of mnemonics, especially for N1 characters, but sometimes not every radical that is in the kanji is included in the list of radicals that you can click on to color them. This is just one example:
Alternately, is there some sort of workaround that other users have found? I noticed that sometimes there are colored-in radicals in other users' mnemonics that don't seem to be in the list of radicals you can click on to color them in, but I don't know how those users did that.
I’m only speculating, but it looks to me like the “radicals” list comes from the multi-radical lookup in Jim Breen’s JDICT. If so, then Michael has no control over what gets in the list and what doesn’t. What he has done instead is kind of brilliant.
If you don’t select a piece for the word you have parenthesized, you get to select each stroke that you want associated with the word by stroke number.
