Off-hand, I believe that ばいい is for actions suggested for someone (something that you can choose to do), while といい can be used for hopes and wishes that are not tied to something you or someone can control.

明日は晴れるといい。(It'd be nice if it's sunny tomorrow)

もっと勉強すればいいよ。(You should study more.)
