Off-hand, I believe that ばいい is for actions suggested for someone (something that you can choose to do), while といい can be used for hopes and wishes that are not tied to something you or someone can control.

れるといい。(It'd be nice if it's sunny tomorrow)

もっとすればいいよ。(You should study more.)
