So a while back I reset some of the parameters so I could practice them a little more. Therefore I have quite the back log of terms and require the daily limit use.
However, when I use said limit and study the words, once the quiz is finished, 1 extra term will appear to be studied. It's not a big problem other than I miss my daily study gold trophy streak. Just thought I'd mention it.
1. As far as I'm aware its occurring for all vocab schedules using the daily limit with extra terms to study. I'll keep and eye out to check though. (I don't have a daily limit set on Kanji so not sure if that also applies)
2. When I get a chance I will get some screen shots. But in the mean time:
A. The terms to be studied, depending on the schedule, can range from 200-1600, but my daily limit is set to 50-100.
B . I study the schedule once, and the quiz has 25-100 terms in it, depending on the schedule.
C. After I finish the quiz, the schedule says I have 26(25+1) or 1 more term to study, depending on the schedule. If I don't study, I will not get the trophy.
Thanks - I noticed that you had "Allow a term to be studied multiple times in a day (once for each vector ready to study)" turned on (at least for the schedule in the screenshot). Do you mind turning that off just for a day and seeing if it fixes it?
Apologies for the delay been a little swamped recently.
So from what I can see this fixes it but the reason why I have it enabled is because I have two schedules with different study vectors. One for the way its read and one for the meaning. If I don't have this enabled I can't study the words meaning as well as the way it's read in the same day.
I would understand if I didn't have the study limit on and words to be studied were appearing at the end of the quiz, as the programme didn't know it was ready to be studied until I finished the quiz. However, the study limit shouldn't be affected just because I'm able to study it in the same day, right?
It's not my intention to say that you should turn it off - more so that this information helps us get closer to finding the cause of the issue :).
So this is definitely not intended behavior, and I have every intention to fix it. Do you mind if I turn on a logger on your schedule? The quizzing itself may slow down every so slightly, but it'll basically stick eagle eyes on your schedule and tell me if/when the numbers shift off.
Amazing, appreciate it! I'm happy to give it a go but if for whatever reason it slows it down too much, I might have to ask you to remove it and wait until after the JLPT exam in July (I have quite a lot to get through in the next month or so haha).
Please choose 1 or 2 of your smaller schedules that have this issue, and tell me which ones. The slowdown, if it exists at all, is linked to the size of the schedule, so it'll be best to focus on the smallest schedules that are problematic.
Think the best ones would be the N2 ones. 読み方 and 意味.
Also I noticed this today.
After finishing the quiz it showed one more to be studied as normal. But when I open the schedule it says I have studied enough for the day. However if I return to the home page it shows one to be studied in that schedule.
So today once a quiz is finished I can no longer continue studying, I have to go to the home page each time? I assume it has something to do with your investigations?
I also have a custom schedule that limits me to five new kanji per day. It had been working flawlessly, but the last day or two it has been adding one or two extra items as described above. The timing seems to correspond to Michael’s changes. Edit: not really.
What seems to be happening is that I lose credit for some of the kanji I’ve already studied that day. For instance, I get five new kanji in the first quiz, then two more with the second quiz. If I check my statistics before starting the second quiz, it shows that I have studied three, not five, new kanji today.
I used to have a daily limit set in a custom pace, but it appears I switched back to a normal pace recently. I’m actually not sure where the limit is coming from, but the schedule shows that I have a max of five daily, 35 weekly.
Just another thing I noticed regarding this. The trophies aren't matching up with the number of questions done. Even if I do the extra questions that appear at the end of the quiz. As you can see below I did 125 questions on May 18th, with the goal set at 50. Yet a bronze trophy. I thought It might be a time difference issue due to getting a gold on the 19th. However May 16th worked perfectly. Anyway Just for your information :).
I’ve got one left after having done the first set for today. I’ll leave it alone for the rest of the day in hopes you get a chance to investigate it. I do realize that it’s the middle of the night right now over there, so no worries if you can’t get to it.
