While looking at the tasks for the garden I noticed that I am really bad at studying consitantly.
My daily study streaks are 0~2... If I remember correctly, from a long time ago, you need to study about 40 questions of a particular group (words, kanji, grammar, sentences) to count for the day. I was wondering if there could be a counter placed next to the titles that would then tell you how many more questions you need to check in for the day for that particular skill. I figure if you are already counting the number of questions for the task maybe just let users see them.
I don't know if it would be helpful or hurtful to others who have set study goals on individual lists but I think it would be helpful for my personal consistency.
Also maybe add a streak freeze like duolingo that users could buy with Kao coin points or garden coins for one day or one type of question set.
I once tried to get a good streak on renshuu but because of something outside of my control I couldn't log in. After that I didn't feel like continuing my steak goals.
Shortly after that I started Duo and I currently have a 1600+ day streak. I have never actually used the streak freeze but because it is an option I feel less pressure/stress about the streak.
I will keep both of those in mind - I am trying to keep the quest info as decluttered as possible, but I can definitely see how that info would be useful.
As to the freeze - I cannot say I am particularly drawn to that idea, although I do understand the merits that it has to you and others. Part of me looks at DuoLingo and doesn't see a "this helps them study", but a "this helps us make money".
