For news articles, there's NHK News Easy https://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/easy/

And there's derivative site NHK Easier https://nhkeasier.com/

For books, Amazon JP has them: https://www.amazon.co.jp/b?nod...

Kinoppy too: https://www.k-kinoppy.jp/free....

Not sure what's there but those looks free (with some conditions)

You can search for in search engines for Free books.

You can search for free manga, usually official ones in japanese sites. (since japan is very proactive in clamping down piracy)

The japaneese news website is a great choice to read, I agree. About the online mangas it's not completely free, just a few pages, but I have to buy them anyways. Any other websites you'd recommend?

I previously posted some resources in this forum here for anime and light novels, hope that helps with a more diverse media.

For search engine searches, I think you may be able to set the country of search. I know duckduckgo can set country. Try setting to japan to get official versions.

As for free unofficial versions that may be in the gray and black area of regulations, you'll probably have to dig for them yourself in other avenues.

Hey kuma, how did you found the forum that you showed me? I thought that they kind of fade when there's to many forums here.

If you're referring to the interface, other than the dashboard's shortcut/brief "community" tab which you might be using (as it "fades" older posts), there is a Menu's "Community" link to the Forum and Forum Search.

Please check Gangan Online Website. I always read 4-koma manga there, but it's free for the latest issue only.
