the nouns used with this pattern don't need to be する nouns, for example みじめさにえられない (can't stand misery)

Since there are two ways of writing たえる (える and える) and their usage difference is very nuanced, it might be best to remove kanji from the title entirely (either that or try to explain the difference between the two, and in that case, good luck!)
Also, under たえる, there also can be the nuance of something being worth doing, like このえるがある there are works of art in this exhibit worth seeing.

There are two meanings to にたえない. 1. Can't stand (verb + にたえない) 2. Strong emotional reaction (noun + にたえない)
