since A, B is unavoidable, and usually used in formal sentances like:
してきたばかりで, あたりのもわからないこととて, どうぞよろしくおいい たします。
I have just moved here and (therefore) don't know the local ways, so I'm asking for your cooperation and kindness.

My textbook says that in negative formations, you can use the ぬ-form. And it says you can use it with all adjectives, but with な adjectives you should retain the な. Do you think these should be included along with dictionary form and noun + の?

I agree on the ぬ bit, and have adjusted the usage patterns. However, my references don't refer to adjectival use. What text are you using?

The まとめN1 book claims that both い and な adjectives can be used, though it gives no examples.
