I feel like this definition is very misleading, especially given the sentences in the examples and quizzes. "The marathon will be postponed" is not at all another way of saying "It rained today."
"Suffice it to say" is far better IMO.

Implies that further discussion of Phrase B would be unnecessary/inappropriate. All the information the listener needs to know has already been said in Phrase A.
Same meaning as the English "suffice it to say".
