I found a sentence in a book that gets over this adjective hurdle: そんなされたんじゃ[b]かなわない[/b]わ。 (そんなあしでじゅうたんよごされたんじゃ[b]かなわない[/b]わ。) "If you get the rug dirty with those feet, it's going to be a problem." Thought it might be of interest as well as serve as a personal note for myself.
