4th model sentence's English translation is weird. It should be "Did you hear it?", don't you think? It seems as if the person the fart of the person did not stop, and could still be heard. The verb is also きこえた so I think it matches.

the Basic Usage section doesn't have anything but こえる written - shouldn't it be something like [Noun] (or [Prase])がこえる?
