上げる can have a bit of a vibe of doing the person you are gifting to a favour, so it’s best to use when talking about giving to people who are approximately social peers and NOT superiors like your boss.

That’s why 差し上げる is more appropriate when crossing a status disparity, e.g. if you’re a service worker and (humbly) offering to give a sample to your client.

I did some digging into the ethymology of this word, along with a teacher explaining to me what it means and it's somewhat interesting.
The word is originally made up of the honorific prefix お and the kanji , if you think about it, how is one polite way to talk about one's inside ()? Yep, that's おなか, which is now better known as お腹.
Prefix お/ご doesn't necesseraly make all words attached to it more polite, it also creates new ones, like it's the case here!

胃袋 is used mostly in a figurative sense. It treats the stomach as a “food bag” and often refers to appetite or eating capacity, as in 胃袋が大きい or 胃袋をつかむ. It’s not the normal anatomical term.

is the literal anatomical stomach. It’s what you use for medical contexts or when referring specifically to the organ itself, such as 胃が痛い or 胃炎.

refers to the belly or abdomen in a broad sense and also carries many idiomatic and emotional meanings, such as 腹が立つ or 腹を決める. It can describe hunger (腹が減った) and feels more blunt or old-fashioned than お腹.

お腹 is the everyday, polite word for the stomach or belly. It’s the default in normal conversation for physical sensations (お腹が痛い, お腹がすいた) and has no rough nuance.
