巨大(きょだい)- extremely large in size

膨大(ぼうだい)- huge in number or amount; can't be used with people

莫大(ばくだい)- extremely large in degree or quantity; often used in relation to money or assets; can't be used with people

多大(ただい)- this can also be used in phrases such as "a huge amount of money,'' but also refers to things that cannot be clearly quantified, such as results, efforts, influence, etc;
can't be used with people

甚大(じんだい)- used to describe negative things e.g in the phrase "tremendous damage"; can't be used with people

this is the most common word for "fundamental" or "basis".

基礎(きそ)
this means the exact same thing as 基本 and they are pretty interchangeable.
The only difference is that this one can refer to the physical foundation of a building.
e.g

       If a building doesn't have a strong foundation, it would collapse under its own weight.

something that serves as the basis, center, and standard of ideas, organizations, etc.
