Level: 3

Hi there! So sorry but I am still new and somehow confused and English is not my native language so I apologize if my question has been asked (I tried search but could not find):

1. Can I adjust the flash card mastery levels? Like the ones saying “a bit”,”well” etc?

2. Is there somewhere I can read about the mastery-level system of flash cards? Like what happens with a word or sentence I only mark as “well” and not “very well”?
3.And those words I already know perfectly, should I mark them as “very well” or “don’t study”?

Apologize for this maybe stupid questions! I had downloaded this app quite a while back but got lost. Thanks to an IG user I gave it another try and now Renshuu seems perfect for me :)

1. You cannot adjust how much those buttons change the mastery level, sorry!

2. If you tap the ? button at the top, and search for "mastery", there should be some information in there. Basically, what happens is that the more you know something, the less often it'll show up for review (the schedules will automatically generate reviews for you each day.)

3. If you know something perfectly, "very well" will make it appear rarely, but it'll still come up for studying. "Don't study" will prevent it from appearing in any quizzes :)

"A bit" will set the mastery level to 2 or 3, "Well" will set it to 6, and "Very well" will set it to 9 (the maximum level).

As マイコー mentioned, mastery levels are a measure of how many days the system will wait before testing you on a term again. You can change the number of days for each level if you want in your user settings or in your schedule settings, but these are the default times:

If you would like to adjust the levels of terms you have already studied, you can go into any list of terms ("My Words", the list of terms in your schedule, lessons in the Lesson Centre, etc.) and choose "Tinker" as the view mode in order to assign custom mastery levels.
