I like ramen, sushi, onigiri, and okonamiaki (veggie pancake)!
おこのみやき can be a difficult word to remember. It certainly was for me. It helps to learn the kanji: お好み焼き
好む to like, to favor
焼く to roast, to toast
カレーライス
It's so easy to make at home (using Curry Roux blocks) and very filling
おいしい
I really like むすび、おにぎり、ラメン、とんかつ、やきそば、and so many others, but these are my top five that are not in order lol.
Well... my favorite drink is Mitsuya Cider. It's really good
My favorite food is gudetama biscuts.
they come in a gudetama themed tin and it's really kawaii

It sounds like you've been to Japan!
I haven't, but was just saying how I wanna try おこのみやき (okonomiyaki) there. I make it sometimes but it probably doesn't compare.
I love すし、みそスープ and ラーメン (sushi, miso soup & ramen), うどん (udon), edamame,... Green tea ice cream is yummy, too.
Yeah 😅 I'm actually in Japan right now 🙂
Ohh, how exciting, lucky you! So you're really getting to study the language!? And eat the food! Wow, please feel free to share anything (and everything) about your stay there, including food photos...?
Oh yes, I forgot てんぶら、looove tempura!
Enjoy!
If I were to pick one, I'd say 付け麵 (Tsukemen).
It's basically ramen, if you split the noodles and broth. BUT, the tsukemen broth is stronger than ramen broth.
You dip your noodles, and because the tsukemen broth is thicker, it clings to the noodles giving it more flavour.
Then, once you're done with all the noodles, you can either order more noodles, or get a cup of rice and mix it all in the remaining broth and finish it all up. Really satisfying meal, and less messy than eating ramen.
Once you try a good tsukemen, your outlook on ramen will change.
