People who have Renshuu Pro, what are kanji writing quizzes like?

I’m thinking of getting Pro because I’d like to repeatedly practice writing kanji, rather than just their pronunciations and meaning. (For example, I can read without even blinking but if you put a blank piece of paper in front of me and tell me to write it, the closest I’d get is , if I even get something on the paper at all.)

In Pro, is “writing” considered a vector in the same way Meaning, Onyomi and Kunyomi are?

Or is there a completely separate quiz type for just writing?

How are the questions prompted? Do I get the word in English then a little box to draw the kanji in? Screenshots would be helpful if you have those!

It’s another vector. You can organize your quizzes to make the writing vector a separate quiz if you want, but it’s up to you.

The best way to get the feel of the writing quizzes is to play QuickDraw. The main difference is that there is no timer.

Here’s the prompt screen:

I highly recommend getting Renshuu Pro, but another option to practicing writing kanji, that you might want to explore, is to use the "Type/write the answer when possible" option in your vocab schedule, and then use the handwriting input tool to write the kanji.

I do use that for my Kanji Compounds schedule to help me remember, for example, that it's and not .

But most kanji do not exist as standalone words. Like isn't a word -- it either has to be える or in something like , so type/write answer would become tedious and inefficient quite quickly.

I think I will take advantage of the current sale and get Renshuu Pro!
