The three I've enjoyed are Blue Archive (lots of gun violence but weirdly no blood, only a few slightly sketchy character designs), Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan (a few jokes I don't like but few and far between), and my all-time favorite, Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On, which is a kids show with weird CGI but I love it anyway.

Thanks so much for all the recommendations!!

I've only watched a few anime, but I recently found my new favorite movie that just so happens to be an anime movie. It's got some really deep subjects but that's what I love about it. It's called A Silent Voice. It hits you right in the feels but is amazing. Hope my suggestion helps.

I think you'd enjoy Dr. Stone. It has a few fights in it but no gore, it's mostly science related and you get to see the protagonist's journey in rebuilding modern inventions using prehistoric tools :)

Spy x family is my favorite anime EVER its completely clean, super cute, and really funny. It's about a spy (Spy name: Twilight, Fake name: Loid Forger) who needs a fake wife and daughter to complete a mission, an assassin (Fake name: Thorn princess, real name: Yor Forger) who is the fake wife of Loid and fake mother of Anya Forger who is a psychic and she can read minds. None know each other's real identity except the daughter who, of course, reads both of their minds and soon realizes they don't know about her powers.

Book recommendations made by total strangers are always random, hyped and useless. Same thing with anime. Go to decent database, like AniDB, pick some high rating titles, read descriptions/reviews. Looks interesting? Start watching. Nausea? Don't hesitate to drop.

No anime is flawless. Those that seem to be, have one general flaw. They're too short. Hehe %)

What do you mean by hyped? You mean like super-overly-popular?

But then, you still say just look for popular/high-rated ones...?

I do acknowledge a lot of people, especially here, seem to only bring up more mainstream titles, and that some people don't seem to pay attention to the details of the person's preferences much if at all... but most people do try and cater their suggestions to what the person asking wants.

No anime is flawless.

Did... did anyone say otherwise?

I do apologise if my phrasing comes across as harsh or aggressive, that was not my intent, but I do know I often struggle with wording things and may end up sounding quite harsh when my intent was merely asking for clarification.

I would recommend Skip and Loafer! It's a slice of life anime abt the main character high school life. While it might sound boring but the anime itself is really wholesome! I personally really like the relationship between each character may it be platonic or romantic, but the romantic part here is really little as the anime mostly focus on friendship, it also potray high school kids really well!
