4. Do A to some extent, to try A
This is used to suggest a limit to how much A is done, and is often followed by clauses downplaying the results (Ex: I'll give A a try, but don't get your hopes up)
やれるだけはやったから後悔はありません。
I didwhatIcould so I have no regrets.

5. Do A as much as possible
A and B are the same verb. A is always in potential form, while B can be anything.
in the image above, an instance of the pattern verb(plain form) + だけ + verb(any form) , I didn't find it in the grammar library and I think is worth adding, not sure if it goes here or in a separate entry.
Alright - I'm going to clean up the entry currently in there, then add a couple more instead of trying to mix the different nuances into a single entry.
