Discussion about this grammar
There is also a casual (informal) construction possible:
Verb: Potential + もん + なら + Verb: たい
料理できるもんなら、毎日おいしい夕食を作りたい。
I got the sentence 「あの絵が手に入るものなら、どんな大金も惜おしくはない。」
Shouldn't 入る be 入れる according to the rule that you need a potential verb?
Looks like a mistake - where did you see this? In the grammar quizzing, sentence quizzing, or elsewhere?
Just found it and fixed it!
It can also be used with dictionary form of the verb, like 叶う. Example: 不老不死の願いが叶うものなら、私はいくらでも金を出す。This is from my Try N2 book.
