In more common speak, I hear the が dropped - but yes, this is used in conversation.

I have seen this in textbooks used Nouns, いいAdjectives, Nouns, and なAdjectives。

Is this correct?

I think this grammar should not be explained as "There's no reason"; it's ambiguous. For example, it could imply someone did something, and we are saying that it was a stupid thing to do (not the correct interpretation of this grammar).

The better explanation is "There's no way" or "it should not be possible".
