Grammar usage notes
1.~てならない is much more restricted in its use than ~てたまらない and ~て仕方がない.
2. You can't use it with adjectives that express neither a psychological nor physical feeling (eg: x狭い、x高い)
3. You can't use it with these adjectives either: 痛い (ache)、嫌い (dislike)、好き(like). (use たまらない・仕方がない).
4. You can't use it with verb phrases のどが渇いて (thirsty), 腹が減って (hungry), くしゃみが出て (sneeze). (use たまらない・仕方がない).
