Grammar usage notes
1. The verb that かねる attaches to can only be a verb that takes a first person human subject (eg I cannot handle, we cannot comply, he appears to accept...)
2. Can't use with verbs like ある、壊れる、乾く、曇る.
3. Can't use with the regular potential forms (-られる forms) (creates a double potential meaning).
4. Exceptions: 分かる (わかりかねます）、and (Sino-Japanese compound +) できる（VNできかねます): DAJG pp. 96-99
5. Can also use the pattern Sino-Japanese compound + しかねます (eg 賛成しかねます).
6. お待ちかねよ is a one-off idiomatic term meaning 'cannot wait'
