I've seen this used at the start of sentences when the less accurate statement has already been said previously. This could be translated as something like "Or rather," "More accurately," "Actually," etc.
んでたから…」
って…?」
「というより根無し草ね
(Roughly:
"It's because I've lived in the countryside..."
"The countryside...?"
"Or, it's more like I'm a person with no roots." )

I see this as comparing two things, while わけではない is closer to 'that isn't the case', and it stands on it's own, without the need to compare it to something else.

A lot of examples given follow より with は, も, and then with むしろ. Can somebody please explain how these sentences break down? Are these necessary?
