The kanji for this is 気 . Formation: いA(take off い)+げ なA+げ N+げ ***Adding 気 makes it a な adjective: ~げだ ~げに+V ~げな+N Credit, where it's due => http://dev.jgram.org/pages/viewOne.php?tagE=ge
Thanks - added most of the new info. A lot of it was originally in there, just..not getting processed and outputted correctly.
In the "How to use" construction, there are two different kanjis that have been used for げ. In the first example it says, 面 白 実 に (looks interested(interesting)). Should this be 面 白 気 に (looks interested(interesting))?

The second example sentence does not use this grammar.
Perhaps it was meant to be 言 いたげにした?
