Although not technically 敬語, this is usually used in formal situations, like in the workplace.
とのことだ – "I heard that..." (reports info from others)
例: 先生は休みとのことです。→ “Apparently, the teacher is off.”
ものだ – "It’s natural that..." / "Used to..." (truths, habits, morals)
例: 子供はよく遊ぶものだ。→ “Kids naturally play a lot.”
