Used to show process of events going from bad to worse.
しまつだ expresses that a troublesome situation of annoyance has arisen due to another person's actions. The first half of the sentence describes all the things that have led up to the situation, and the second half states the situation that has arisen as a result. 「日本語文型辞典」(2015) p. 152
