There's also a more colloquial version of this construction:

B doesn't have to be something bad (for example このきやすいで、れたがいつも使いたくなる。) - I would say the definition of this pattern is more like, "as soon as A happens, B" or something like that.

Yea - on a bit more research, I now agree that the original definition was a bit too restrictive. It can be positive/negative, and conveys that once something happens, the result is kind of permanent/continual.
