Related grammar: どんなに

It's a strong enough similarity that these two grammar points are presented as "fairly interchangeable." However, they're not directly equivalent.

Regarding the choice for {いくら/どんなに}~ても: いくら is more conversational than どんなに (Handbook, page 294).
