The definition of this one is a bit hard to understand. I'd just say it shows an especially strong conviction of the speaker.

It also looks to me that verbs and i-adjectives in dictionary form and nouns can all be used here.

Yea, your definition is much clearer. There is always the occasional grammar point where a good meaning just didn't form in my head, so it's appreciated!

Hi,

I read in fareastfurfaro's Usages notes that "past tense or negative forms" cannot be used for this grammar point.

Does it refer to A part or だ part ?

In case of A part :

- what about user's sample : はそんなにすぎてべられないというものだよ!

In case of だ part :

- what about this page's example : 「かのじょあうためあらしさいちゅうえきむにいくことこそあいというものではない

- This remark is here to prevent from confusing with というものではない grammar point ?

It is referring to the A part - the page example given here is simply a negation of the entire phrase, so I wouldn't think of it as "part" of the grammar expression.
