Grammar usage notes

When people are rather irate or want to add emphasis in speech, verbs that end in る tend to drop the る and change to んな.

Example:
ぐずぐずすんな!(→ぐずぐずするな!)
をなめんなよ!(→をなめるなよ!)

Another colloquial form that you can use and also implies prohibition is verb + んじゃない.

Example:
さんのシュークリームをべるんじゃないよ!(→さんのシュークリームをべるな!)
すんじゃねえぞ。(→すな。)

I don't understand why the form says that everything ends with な, but a lot of these sentences end with only る? That doesn't follow any of the other usages as far as I can tell?

That's definitely a huge mistake! Those sentences should have the な.

Fixed! The data was all stored properly in the site initially, but there was a bit of data corruption with the な form of the verb, and caused it (as you noticed) to disappear in some cases. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!

I have a question, can I also use this with adjectives?

Maybe うるさいな for "Don't be noisy!"? If not, how would I express this?

Thanks.

That な is the sentence ending particle, I'm pretty sure. Not this.

If you've seen/heard that phrase somewhere, that's probably the "shut up" meaning of うるさい.

I think the sentence you're thinking of for is probably うらさくするな or something like that. Not fully confident though...
